Oprah Winfrey Network Motion Brand


I pitched, designed, animated, and programmed the motion graphics package for Oprah Winfrey Network. The editor-friendly after effects toolkit allows producers to generate perfectly-timed text cards, end cards, buttons, pervasive text, and lower thirds at 16×9, 4×5, and 9×16 resolutions. Originally developed as a special brand package for the “Keep It Real” weekend programming block, the toolkit was later expanded to cover holidays and brand programming.

The “Keep It Real” weekend programming block originally bucketed shows into “Hot” Friday and “Cool” Saturday color schemes. It has since been expanded to include Thursday programming, brand programming, and special holiday programming.

The toolkit automatically generates the correct settings for every show and prevents editors from selecting incorrect color combinations. An editor can use timeline markers to adjust text rotation and outro logo timing, cascading to every deliverable.
